Our “Global Offices” blog series features a Q&A each month with one of Exponential’s offices across the globe. For the month of April, we caught up with the lively Noida office to learn what it’s like to work at Exponential’s largest employee hub and find out the team’s favorite activities, local places to visit, and more.
What year did this office open?
The Noida (India) office was opened in 2005 as an R&D center, invested heavily in technology development.
How many Exponential employees are at this office? Which departments are represented?
Since 2005, the Noida center has grown substantially in terms of headcount as well as the work functions it represents. Today, there are more than 280 employees working from the Noida center, making it the biggest employee hub for Exponential globally.
Along with being a technology development center, Noida office has emerged to become a global operations hub for Exponential. The departments represented here are Engineering, Ad Sales, Finance, Campaign Management, Publisher Development, Media Planning, Account Management, IT Operations. Also, some global functions run exclusively from the Noida center like Creative, Ad-Operations, Business Intelligence & Reporting, etc.
What are some favorite activities the office enjoys doing together?
Our in-house ‘FunAtWork’ Team built from volunteers across departments is extremely active and works all year round to drive employee engagement activities inside as well as outside the office. Some of the favorite activities include ping pong tournaments, company outings, team off-sites, watching and playing sports like cricket, football or badminton together, participating and even winning in inter-corporate sports tournaments, live music jams, poker nights, clubbing, potluck lunches, karaoke parties, photography contests, or just hanging out together over dinner & drinks outside the office.
Apart from this we also have a dedicated recreational area in the office which houses a (fairly busy) ping pong table, a foosball table and a variety of fun board games like Pictionary and Taboo.

What does your office love most about Noida? Any favorite local spots?
The newly opened ‘Mall of India’ has become one of the favourite local spots as it houses a variety of entertainments outlets including an indoor snow park! We love eating & drinking at any of the numerous restaurants and bars at Connaught place or Hauz Khas areas which are not a long drive from our Noida office. Our office’s relatively central location offers plenty of quick escapes from the city as well. From arty heritage sites to nature and wildlife, there are a lot of interesting spots to explore.
Any team mottos?
“Work hard, play hard” is certainly one of the mottos many of us live by.
We also believe that values are the bedrock of behavior at an individual level and culture at a collective level. Our core values guide every aspect of our work with stakeholders.
What is one interesting fact most people don’t know about the Noida office?
The city name ‘Noida’ is actually an acronym. It is short for ‘New Okhla Industrial Development Authority’. Our office in Noida lies off the 6-lane expressway which further leads all the way to Agra and thus ‘Taj Mahal’ – one of the modern wonders of the world – is at merely a 2-hour driving distance from our office.
Anything else you’d like to add?
The average age of our Exponential Noida office employee is 24. The Noida office is a potpourri of cultures as we have young and passionate employees here who have joined us from various regions across India. We are proud of and value our diversity. Above all it’s a GREAT place to work at!
